    Grandfather mountaiin campsites

I'm hoping to do an overnight hike up Grandfather mountain this summer and was planning on staying at either Calloway Gap, Cliffside, or Raven's roost campsites and was looking for any first hand info anyone has about them. Primarily if they will accomodate 3 hammocks and 1 tent. Any other info about what they are like would be appreciated too. Thanks.

I stayed at Calloway Gap when I was there. Decent spots for hammocks and two built platforms for tents
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

Great, thanks. I found your trip notes and a video from TallPaul and you both had stayed there but I wasn't sure if there was enough room for us four. Sounds like there is for sure at that site and Maybe I'll get lucky nobody will be there when we get there. I went there on a dayhike with the kids a few years ago and they loved climbing the ladders and cables, and just the roughness of it all, while my wife was biting her nails everytime they got near an edge. We vowed we would come back when the kids were older so here we come! Didn't get a chance to check out the campsites back then but wish I had. Hoping to get back to Linville Gorge and Mt. Mitchell on the same trip. Praying for good weather and enough time off from work.

When I camped there we parked off the blue ridge parkway and the kiosk there had permits in it to fill out and place in your car.

Great make sure you bring plenty of water, shanti springs is the only water source down the profile trail and the weather can change quick

Daniel Boone campsite can be reserved online. The rest are self-registration at certain trailheads.
