Definitely not enough stitching on your tie outs.

Strength is proportional to the length of your stitch lines whichever pattern you choose to go with, doesn't have to be a box, so adding another line of stitches would up the strength by around 50%

You may want to go with longer pieces of webbing to give more room for your stitching or alternatively use a zig zag to get enough stitches in.

    J2,

First off welcome to the addiction.

Dont worry. You can sew that tieout by hand if you dont have a machine or know a seanmstress. Just watch a few videos and use kevlar or heavy duty polyyester thread. In the mean time, you could place a marble/smooth pebble inside the fabric, wrap the fabric over the marble. Take a clove hitch around the marble and fabric and bingo you have a new tarp tie out to use until you sew it. This is a great field expedient repair for all things tarp and tent related.

I am not a computer geek. Dont even own a cell phone so I can't take/show you pictures of the above. However, if you are interested, I am sure someone on here can help you with that.

    Have a good next hang.

    Bob
