New items at Autumn Ultralight: Kevlar, Dyneema, and Ultralight polyester Tree Straps

Hello everyone. I have expanded my offerings with Kevlar, Dyneema, and ultralight polyester tree straps and tree huggers.

My Kevlar Webbing is my lightest webbing and comes in at 1.9 grams per foot and has a 1500 lb breaking strength. This webbing is for the gram counters! You can make a very light weight yet extremely strong suspension with this webbing. This is perfect for tree huggers to use with whoopie slings or tree straps to be used with a becket hitch. Kevlar is nice because it will stay flat against the tree and won't curl up under tension. These are not compatible with cinch buckles. The kevlar is USA made right in Pennsylvania!

My Black Dyneema webbing comes in at 3 grams per foot and has a 3000 lb breaking strength. This is a lightweight yet extremely strong webbing. This is perfect for tree huggers to use with whoopie slings or tree straps to be used with a becket hitch. These are not compatible with cinch buckles.

My Blue Polyester Webbing comes in at 4 grams per foot and has a 1000 lb breaking strength. This versatile webbing is lightweight and durable. It is perfect for becket hitch systems, tree huggers with whoopie slings, and it is one of the lightest cinch buckle compatible webbings you will find.

I sew these with care using German Gutterman Mara 70 thread. I always tuck the end under 1 inch and sew it into place on the loops rather than just using a hot knife or lighter to singe the end. This ensures that it won't fray and that the tree strap will have a long life.

Please see my website for details.

Also, poke around a bit while you are there. I've added whoopie slings and soft shackles to the site too.

As always custom work is available too. If you have ideas let me know by contacting me through my website and I will do my best to accommodate.

This is awesome!! I' have been looking for 2.2 Kevlar for AGES! It's the only straps material I use..

Love the masking tape idea as well.. That's one of those 'why didn't I think of that' moments. Who makes the guide you're using on the machine bed??
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Mike, you can get these on Amazon. So long as your sewing machine has a threaded hole in the plate you should be good to go.

    There are magnetic ones too.

Thank you!! Going to order some straps later today.

I use am heirloom 1945 Singer that is just a joy and put a nasty scratch in the bed using the magnetic guide..

Do you sew the straps to order?? And, do you work in Dynaglide as well?

I do make the straps to order.

I work in Endura 12 made by New England Ropes which is the same manufacturer as Dynaglide. I have their 2mm cordage in black and a nice teal/green color too. It's the same as Dynaglide without the heavy urethane coating. I can make whoopies out of them resulting in a sub 2 ounce suspension.

I can either make no hardware button knot connectors for them or soft shackles.

Here is a video showing how the no hardware connectors work.

I've had no issues with them using a standard becket hitch.
