Building and selling a quilt with design elements clearly unique to another vendor, whether you have the legal right to do so or otherwise, and then actively/passively marketing it as your own innovation is just not cool and should be called out for what it is. It's just a disrespectful bully move being the bigger cottage shop. It's not a good look for you and in the long run if enough people start talking it hurts both your reputation as well as the motivation of little guys (both vendors and non-vendors alike) to innovate and introduce new gear if they think one of the bigger shops will just take the idea and run with it for a profit as their own. All the little vendors with their unique takes on various pieces of gear is what makes this community awesome and we should all appreciate the plethora of choices we have because vendors both big and small all try to put a unique spin on their offerings.

Nunatak called about a year back and asked if they could use my design in their quilts. They even offered a small commission. I happily said yes. That was a class act on his part.

Here is a link to my videos of the original design for anyone interested. Life has forced me to put the biz on hold for a while, but I am hoping to be back in the game soon.

You haven't posted here in two years and this is what you come out of the blue to contribute? I'm somewhat baffled by this post as what you are even talking about and what's more none of us want to know. You need to be sharing private emails with Warbonnet over this issue not a public forum post. BS move.

What specifically are you saying you came up with first that Brandon is using? You link to a bunch of videos on your website but don’t say which one is related to your claim.
And I assume you came up with the original idea that is being used?
As a bystander to this thread, your post comes across as a rant.

He’s not the only one using that design. UGQ has the same system though the cord comes out different.

Do they? They have a pad attachment system, but this is different than what I am referring to. Please send me a link if I am missing it.
