I'm a side sleeper, so it's mostly a fetal position for me. I also stretch one or both legs out on occasion. My TQ is either a Costco down throw with no mods for cooler temps, or a twin patchwork quilt I made years ago for warm weather. It seems everyone likes their TQ with some sort of a footbox, but my feet don't like that. Most of the time, I have one foot uncovered.
I usually sleep on my back with my legs out. I have not experienced heel pressure. I made my hammock with a gathered end,(not a channel end) and i adjusted each end so it went with the lay direction. By doing this it puts slack on the foot/head sides and tightens up the other sides. This is something that you can't do with a channel end, hence why i opted for the gathered end.
"But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" Joshua 24:15
One my back.. Either leg bent, but usually my left. I am left lay, so my left knee leans on the left hammock side.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Staying straight legged for too long for me results in the sensation of hyperextending my knees. Raised knees or figure 4 or side sleep takes care of this.
Staright, figure four, fetal side sleep. Off topic but always use a Nemo pillow. 18 month nightly sleeping at home.
