    Lightbulb AR hang Ouachita mtns?

I知 looking at doing a November hang in the Ouachita mountains near Mena Arkansas. Lot of trails for hiking, biking and even motorcycling. There is a 100 acre campground with 45 acres of primitive camping if we wanted to go primitive. There is a full shower house available.

I知 just checking to see if there is any interest in a hang in this area around that time frame. I知 open to do all the leg work and organize it. I know the campground host for the area and believe we can work out a great deal for the event. I just stopped by and had a conversation with him and it looks like it痴 open from November 9th through the end of the year.

Just a few shot of the area. The first couple have electric hook ups the last one in the primitive area. If needed we can get a large building in case of bad weather, plus they have cabin of all luxury levels. From bare bones to supe nice with wrap around decks and set up like a nice home. The Ouachita hiking trail system runs through town with serval loops as well for those who want to do day hikes.

I am looking to do something like this not too far from home, and I'm in Northern LA. Would love to join you. Only potential issue is that I have 4 kids and November tends to be a busy month, but if it were doable, I'd be interested.

Sounds good, I have been talking with some friends and we may do a test run the 1st weekend in July I will be me and my two kids, one couple from Texas, with a possibility of a friend from Dallas. It’s a very loose plan right now.

I'm definitely interested! It's a great area and those look like prime trees for hammock happiness.

Sounds good, I’m still planning on it and have now got the whole family interested in the hammock camping idea. A few people from Texas has expressed interest in a hang as well. It would be neat to see the different setups and make some new friends. Glad there’s some interest.

Greetings. New to HF (as of last week) and been perusing the Group Hangs forum looking for something local to North LA upcoming. Did this potential fall hang ever materialize or did it dissipate from lack of interest/availability? Would love to attend something like this! Thanks!!!
