Cave Creek Gear

Hi everyone,

Wanted to shout out to Rick at Cave Creek for his amazing gear, both the Pet Palace and his Ponderosa tarp. I had been doing some research a while back and came across the Pet Palace thread here on HF and contacted Rick about it. For me, Pet Palace was a good fit for my needs. I hammock camp with my Search and Rescue K9 across the country as we go to training and missions.

Rick was great to work with, made some helpful suggestions and even overnight FedEx'd my gear to me so I'd be ready for a camping trip to Indiana. Sadly the week was filled with a lot of rain/thunderstorms, and my phone malfunctioned so I couldn't get the pictures I took of my gear taking one heck of a pounding. I had to actually replace my phone. The gear held up very well considering. I even broke a tarp clip on my continuous ridgeline but the ponderosa tarp held strongly.

Overall I'm super happy with my gear from Rick, great purchase, great gear. I literally got the gear and put it to use the very next day in pounding rain. Thank you, Rick, for a great (even though Mother Nature made it soggy) first experience with your gear! Thank you Rick and Cave Creek!

Yeah they're spacious inside because of the 2 pullouts on each side. The bathtub floor is really tough. My dog is always so eager to get in I can't set it up quick enough for her.

I'd like to share this review. Its a couple years old but very relevant to your review and I think would help fellow hangers with their pets as they research for camping gear.

Rick makes a nice place for our pets to rest. I have the earlier version he makes one wider with a higher walls and a tarp if needed.
