    Hammock camping through the Shenandoah

First I want to apologise if this is not the right spot to post this question. If the admins have to move it, I completely understand. A friend of mine and I are going to hike the AT through the Shenandoah early this summer, and obviously hammock camp the whole way. I've seen plenty of videos and feel confident that I wont lack for finding good places to set up. Here is our issue: We want to park at Front Royal and shuttle down to the start in Waynesboro and then hike back towards our car. Have any of you had a good experience in finding an affordable shuttle or way to travel between those two cities? The best we have have been able to find is $100 per person, and that seems a little steep. Thanks in advance!

Even though it's only like 110 miles, skyline drive takes forever to drive. Taking highways to get from Front Royal to Waynesboro takes a long time, too. $100 a piece seems high, but it's really a time consuming shuttle.

You could take two cars and park one on each end as an option.

We've talked about that, and it is a possiblity but want to hold on to that as a last resort

I did that shuttle about 15 or so years ago, so I am not sure my pricing experience is at all relevant. However, I seem to remember it being at or a little over $100 for all four of us on the trip. 100 a piece sounds a little high. I would shop around. Also I rarely run into people who charge per person. Most of the time it is per trip regardless of people. That strikes me a little odd too. Just my 2 cents.
