I just bought a set of LoopAliens for my rain fly and I am really excited. I bought them from the LoopAlien site directly for $5 each plus ~ $4 S&H. Just out of curiosity, I went and looked at Amazon. There, I found a 10 pack of another brand, which looks the same to me, for $8.49 and it was prime, so free shipping. Is there any discernible difference?

Just another Chinese knockoff. I bought the originals years ago when they first came out. The loop aliens are a nice addition to the kit and are handy for other things.

There's a huge difference between the two of them. One of them supports a small cottage company here in the United States the other sends the work overseas and makes the richest man in the world richer. No brainer.
