    Hello From Texas

Hello from the Texas Panhandle. I have been a long time tent camper, but have been converted to hammocks during the last year. I have leaned a great deal from this forum and hope that I can contribute to the vast wealth of information found here. Thanks for having me...

Howdy and welcome to the trees. Well, in Amarillo, welcome to the stands. Just kidding. Last time I was there I noticed some trees and in Palo Duro, there are some options to hang as well.

I spend a lot of time around Lake Meredith and on the Canadian river north of Amarillo. Both have plenty of trees - finding two large enough and the right distance apart can be difficult at times. I have been known to use the roll bar on my Samurai for a one tree hang or a picnic table canopy pole and a tree for a hang... I also spend a lot of time in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in northeast New Mexico and southeast Colorado...

Welcome to hanging, 10mmShooter. My daughter used to live in Texas and wants to move back there, maybe next year.
    Cheers.
