    Temporarily sealing reflectix?

I am trying to get an extra use for the 12x16 piece of reflectix that I always carry and use for a "doormat", ground sheet, knee pad, suppelemental emergency insulation, etc. I recently acquired a Foster Pot and now am faced with a dilemma that I didn't have with my 12 CM Imusa. Whenever I carried the Imusa, I would let my freezer bag meals "soak" inside the Imusa cozy. Now I have a cozy for the Foster but it's just not big enough to contain my meals. My reflectix sheet is easily big enough to fold over and hold any freezer bag but has no way to hold it shut unless I just throw a rock or similar on top. It would be great if I could attach some hook and loop to the pad where it would hold itself shut but don't know who to do it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! I cold easily make a single-use freezer bag cozy but would rather repurpose the pad I already bring.

    Self stick velcro could work.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if the adhesive would stick to the slick surface, but I'll certainly give it a shot! BTW, Shug, thank you for all you've done in your videos to help me and so many others flatten that learning curve!

If you are carrying a Foster pot,do you have something to carry it in?Mine came in a plastic container.
The people that make Caldera Cones have them on their website as an accessory.I have also gotten away with using a quart Rubber Maid container to hold my SP 600,then use Quartie to hold/heat the food and eat from the bag in the quart container. No reflextix really necessary in that scenario either.

Good Point! Maybe I'll be better off to make a single use cozy and keep in the food bag!

No, I just got the pot alone. It's cut down a bit so it's not a full size pot-extremely compact and worked well at home. Field report coming next week!

Dual lock velcro-alternative is overkill, but might be easier to clean than velcro's hook and loop.

I made freezer bag cozies from reflectix. Heck they are almost 10years old. Used aluminum tape on side and bottom. Made a fold over top and used the self stick Velcro. I put down a layer of tape on reflectix before sticking Velcro. If my pouch gets poked, I just patch it with AL tape. Velcro has never pulled off. I FB cooking so
I don't have to clean pot. Just boil water in it. Eat out of bag.

So I guess you could Velcro your three sides and wala you are done. Stays folded and has a pouch.
