    Squeezeee in the Chameleon.... ????

    Hi Everyone,
Just have a some questions to ask.... Okay, so yesterday took a friend out to help set up their new Chameleon, which I suggested because of everyone that had them said they were comfy.
Myself I have a Half-wit which I like alot. So I set mine up and while I layed down in mine while she set hers up with all the bells and whistles She has the top cover and the bug net.... Oh am am close to nodding off when she gets in hers and she asks me why the tight squeeze feeling...?? I said don't know let me try it out.... Soooooooooooooooo I climb out of my Half-wit and got into hers... Wow, It was very tight on my shoulders..... I just wondered if anyone else had this problem with their Chameleon? I was thinking maybe the it was because of the overcover, you know being enclosed and everything... I just don't know... Any ideas or thoughts???

Hmmm, interesting issue. Can you share some pictures? Maybe there’s something wrong with the suspension set-up, or maybe the ridge line is longer or shorter than it should be.

Never had any shoulder squeeze in my Chameleon. I'm 5'11" and 165 lbs., though.

Assuming you or your girlfriend are not 6'3" and 300 lbs., I'd have to assume you don't have it set up properly, though it's hard for me to imagine how you can set it up to induce shoulder squeeze. Maybe you're laying banana style instead of a diagonal lay?

Is the top cover asymmetric? Is it on backward to the way she is laying?

The bugnet is so the top cover must be too. I know it feels weird if you put it on backwards.

Yep, probably the asym net/cover is reversed.

Not a bunch to go wrong with the sag considering the SRL, even if the tree straps are at a crazy shallow angle.

I'm agree with silvrsurfr & shug. Either laying on the wrong side of the asym or laying on the centerline of the hammock. I have the Dutch netless, half zipped & chameleon & none of them are shoulder squeezing.

Thanks to everyone for all the answers. One thing is that she does not have the asymmetric top cover. So, I got home and we hung it up in my backyard and adjusted the ridgeline the right way and all is good.....

Are both hammock bodies the same? Single layer? Double layer? Which fabric(s)? I feel squeezed in hammocks made from thin fabric like the Hexon 1.0.
