Birthday hammock for 10 yr old?

Our youngest has an upcoming birthday and I would like to get him a reasonably priced but quality netted hammock. Preferably $100 or less. Also looking for something in stock if using one of our cottage vendors. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Simply Light Designs Micro Lair. 119.95 may not be in stock but with Jared's turn around time it might as well be. You can pick the color and It comes with a bottle holder, gear pouch and keychain light.

If it were me, I'd buy a full size (10.5'-11') hammock. That way he won't grow out of it and it will be more resellable if he decides a hammock isn't his thing. All hammocks from Dutchware are basically in stock. Check out the 11' half-zipped ($115) if you want a netted hammock. Or combine a netless with a bottom entry bugnet and you should come in at under $100.

+1 on the full sized, or at least close to.
Hammock gear has a netted hammock for 115. Free shipping right now too.

Cant go wrong with anything from sld either. Probably not in stock, but as mentioned his turn around times are amazing.

There was a nice Darien on BPL a couple days ago. Good deal.

Dream Hammock has in stock Dariens for $110, slightly over your preferred price, and others have already pointed to HammockGear's similar offering for $115.

cmc4free has probably the most cost effective solution of a netless hammock paired with a separate bug net, which is actually my own setup.

Otherwise, Hennessy has the Scout Classic for around $90 if he's 5'7" or less. That price includes the standard tarp, too, I believe.

After all of your suggestions I decided on an 11-foot netted hammock from Dutchware. Thanks for all the help!

Hammock Gear sells their full-size, netted Hammock for $115. I think this is a fantastic, full-featured hammock.
