    Sweet Home Carolina...

Just moved back to the western NC/SC border area a few days ago after thirty+ years up Nawth.
Really glad to find a 16'4" right off the side lawn...

[2800 ft up on the face of the Blue Ridge, so a spectacular view comes with it]

I've got a 12'8" for a day-hanger right at the edge of the lawn as well... now I just have to wait for the POD to be delivered to have my hammock stash back

Hey Ted, looks nice. We will miss you but just another reason to come visit down there. Hope you have lots of good hang time with the local hammock groups.

Was that a requirement you gave the realtor?

Looks like a nice place to hang.

That looks like an awesome spot in one of my favorite parts of the country. I sure hope you get plenty of time to enjoy the new hangin' digs.

Nope, Paul. Just fortuitous... and we have plenty more pairs scattered out around the mountainside beyond.
My quick fix is shown here......>>

We just quite literally stumbled on this place. We had absolutely NO plans as to where we were going to end up buying... just west of I-77 and probably south of I-40. Could have been Kings Mountain or Bryson City.
Driving around on our "lookie-loo" trip, we saw this in a local realtors magazine, drove up to check it out and called the realtor from the side yard. 24 hours later we had a contract.
Lovin' it. And caint wait to get a chance to meet some of the local HF membership.

The POD update is that it got here fine, all the important is in the house, a yard building comes up the mountain tomorrow, and I can just shuttle most of the remainder into that and deal with it as I want [or as the elfLiza asks, "Have you seen the _____ yet ??"

Yo Ted! Glad you had a safe trip down. We will all miss you up here, but it looks like you landed well - trees everywhere! Don't be surprised if half the NEHHA horde drops into your trees someday! Say hello to Elf Liza, and give her fair warning, although she already met a lot of us in Maine!

Enjoy your new digs, and hang loose!
