    90 degree/Amok + Tensa

I couldn't find the answer to this in any of the monster threads. In my case, this is for an EMT DIY Tensa stand, but I don't think it matters either way.

To date, I've had really strong tie off options for my stand, but starting Mon night, I don't anymore in my partially renovated home. I'm curious what kind of weight the tethers really need? I've sat in my 90 degree with no tether just for fun and the stand takes the weight. Of course, any movement upsets the stand. You wouldn't want to use it without the tether is what I'm saying. However, when weighted, the tethers go pretty tight. In practice, when setting up, I try to eyeball where the straps go tight, and tie off the tether in that spot. I really have no way of knowing just how tight that strap is. Maybe, its just barely under tension, but I can't tell being solo in the house for the time being.

I'm thinking in my new spot, I'll need to weight the straps down. Thinking sandbags or something else heavy. How much weight is likely needed? I did see roughly half ones weight, but that is for a GE. I'm assuming the 90degree is roughly splitting the difference on both sides? At 200#, maybe 50# on both sides?
Another option is the plywood floor this will go on. Will a largish eyebolt screwed into 3/4" plywood hold? That'd be easiest obviously.

    Thanks

With transverse hammocks, and no lean to the stand, you can get away with very, very light anchors. You could have a helper let out the guyline tension on both sides until they are barely taut.

Sounds like I could do some eye hooks in my plywood floor...
