High folks, I have been doing some planning on a Paddling Camp out the weekend before Memorial Day at Meacham Lake State Campground in the Adirondacks. There aren't any more sites on the water right now but I have 151 on the water and 152 across the driveway. We usually did this on the ADK forum but the usual organizer can't make it this year and it fizzled out. Anybody who is interested, there are plenty of sites all around the C.G. and it has hot showers.
We usually go out for a paddle on Saturday after breakfast, Canoes and Kayaks welcome. My plan would be to shuttle up to the Osgood River, leave a car or two at the take out and shuttle the boats several miles up to the put in for a leisurely Saturday Morning / Afternoon paddle down to the take out. Taking out at the south end of the lake will eliminate any rough Cross Lake Paddle the end of the day as the CG is on the North end.
