    Northern Indiana Ello

Ello all, semi-new hammock hanger. Saw a YouTube video years ago talking about Treklight hammocks so i orders one and I liked hanging in it. Can never sleep in it, as much as i tried. I was a tent dweller growing up so this is fun. Im a belly sleeper so i pre-ordered my Amok XL and tried it out and love it, though i got wet, think i had the tarp backwards or pulled down to much and was touching on the head and feet, but i did sleep so big step over. Eager to get back out there and try again, spend more than few hours adjusting the setup. Bought a The Outdoors Way Hammock Tarp- 12' just encase the borg tarp still dosnt work. Eager to get out and hit the woods, not much up in northern IN than Chain O Lakes to hang in. One day id like to go to a hang meet-up.

Welcome! Even Chain-o-Lakes is a no go. I tried but you can't "attach rope, chain or anything to trees".

Thank you all for the welcome. The HF Hoosier hang is way to far south for me. Maybe one year. I work inside Chain O Lakes ive yet to have an issue hanging there, its not in there listed rules. Sam Boggs the park manager said he didn't mind when i asked him.

I hope to get up around the Mississinewa/Salamonie/Roush area to chase mushrooms in a couple weeks or so. I'd like to hang for a few days while I get out to find fungus. If it comes together, I will try to contact you and maybe we can toss the Amoks up in some trees for a bit.

Welcome aboard SykonMantrin. I'm in Huntington, a half hour southwest of Fort Wayne. Most of us in northern Indiana drive north to Michigan or south to southern Indiana. Some really pretty country up north along the North Country Trail.

    Welcome to the Forums!

You are less than 2 hours away from the October Chili Hang in Yankee Springs. It's a fun hang with a ton of people. Maybe I'll see you there.
