XLC Single or double

I have the double layer 1.1 BB and think its amazingly comfortable and cannot believe that it can get more comfortable going to the XLC but I am gonna go with a 1.6 SL XLC to confirm. I'm 5'8" and 200 lbs and have a 40 lbs dog that joins me in the BB.

I love my double cause I can slide a bag between the layers instead of a pad

How does this work as far as temps go?
