Just a tought. Did you try to contact your insurance company if they can cover some of the costs. Atleast in Finland insurance companies cover accidents. Not user errors. So if it was an accident it could be covered.
Ripping your hammock by overtightening = not covered, user error.
Ripping your hammock by falling and cutting it against sharp branch = covered, accident (allthough they could argue that it wasn’t an accident, but the product just couldn’t withstand the rough use)

Anyways, hope you get your Draumr fixed

I skipped the Draumr earlier this month to buy something I felt would be more versatile to hike with, not 100 % my current choice is any more versatile and now I cannot get past the feeling I also want a chair like hammock I can drink beer in (with a beer holder ). Also the "wife" could be persuaded to come to hike too if I had a floating bed for her. Too bad when I was about hit order they have sold all out for this month.

Does anyone have a picture of the Draumr in its stuff sack next to something I can get figure out how big the package is? Picture next to the airmat or something. I have the Exped Synmat 9 LW and UL LW to compare against.

This is a picture of the AMOK XL. The hammock is red on the left, the tarp is in the middle and the pad on the right end in white. A size 10 shoe is on the left for comparison.

Oh yeah I have the Borg too to compare Yes looks good. Smaller than I thought. I think the smaller Draumr actually comes in bigger package but I guess it cannot be much more bigger than the XL.

You definitely don't get this hammock cos you're trying to pack small and Light! It's ridiculously clunky, but here ya go.

Left to right, synmat 9 LW, New style Draumr (NOT xl) hammock tent Ver 2.0.

Yeah I know it's bulkish. I just need it to fit between my bikes handlebars with some other gear. That will fit just nicely.

The weight and the size of the hammocktent sure looks nice. The hammock kinda looks like exped ergo.

The guy that makes the hammock tent 90 degree worked for Exped, and got their blessing to go on his own. It's amazing, but doesn't have chair or beer mode so...

Yes beer mode is definitely needed

Btw. Is there a reason why so many are using Synmat 9 vs UL or 7 with your draumr?
Is it more comfortable or something? Amok seems to almost recommend using the UL LW version (they only sell that one and they highlight it in their recommended mat video)

Pros: It's much smaller and half the weight

I was lucky enough to try mine with a few different mats (synmat 9, 7 and 5)

I find that the 9 fills the pad pocket more completely, gives it more form.

I also live in Western Canada, so wanted the extra insulation level
