I arrived a few hours early for the 2nd Annual Southern MN Group Hang. I used that time to explore Historic Downtown Red Wing and climb its overlook called Barn Bluff. I finally made my way out to Richard J. Dorer State Forest and marked a trail to our camp spot. It was not a designated campsite. Dispersed camping is allowed (for free) in Minnesota State Forests. Six other hangers arrived and camped out. We enjoyed a good first night before the rain rolled in. The next morning was wet and the forecast showed a wash out was likely. We bailed and headed in town and enjoyed a hot breakfast together before making our way home. Here is a short video from the weekend.
