Light & strong webbing, but curls up like rope under tension...you need to flatten them back out before rolling them up to pack away, if you don't mind that, they're fine.
A Smc aluminium ring attached to lightweight tree hugger webbing will save the most weight over the steel grab, steel ring & heavy original strap & you can keep using the original dyneema rope toggle tensioning. Simple & lightweight modification.
Something like this...

That's what I plan to do.
I just wonder what could be the best tree hugger webbing.
For now I saw https://dutchwaregear.com/product/uh...traps-huggers/ and Kevlar https://dutchwaregear.com/product/30...traps-huggers/
As huggers they're both fine...decisions, decisions, the choice is yours.

Thanks.
Hard to buy some SMC rings from France for a reasonable price.
I wonder if I could instead use Amsteel® Continuous Loops.

Not sure if this is strong enough...

You could also have a look in your local climbing shop.

Not at all.
I tried one of this from my climbing shop and the caribiner cracked while I was testing to sleep in the hammock. I now know that 250kg strength for this hammock is not enough
That's why I think about the Amsteel 1/8 which seems to have about 2500 lbs strength.
Maybe add some dutch biners 10g each to the Amsteel continuous loops just in case the loops provide too much friction.

Good idea.
I will add 2 for the higher straps. I think that for the lower straps there will be less strength.
