    Oxi-clean will work very well against mold mildew ...basically sodium percarbonate when mixed with water makes hydrogen peroxide ...works like bleach without bleaching stuff

    I use vinegar. I also keep a packet of Baking Soda with my gear. Youe gear needs air to circulate aroynd it. I wash gently rinse with Apple Cider Vinegar. Fresh air to completely dry.

    I have not been in NC for years, I thought you has fairly high humidity. As mwnt uh oned earlier be sure your storage area if mold-mildew free with good air circulation.

    Just for what it is worth peroxide desolves blood on clothing.

    I also use Peroxide to induce vomiting in dogs that eat chocolate when the veterinarian is closed.
