Heather and I are hoping to hike Valens while everyone is out symposium"ing" and hopefully hang for the night. I'm assuming the invite is open even though we aren't joining you. Or are most of you heading tonight and then leaving after the show?
I'm heading to the symposium with 2 friends from Pittsburgh on Saturday. I hadn't heard if anyone was staying at valens. I was going to hit some thrift shops after the show and then head home. My plans are not set in stone. Depends what my friends want to do.

Im hopin to be at our usual site by 11:00 ish. Hope someone is stopping by after the symposium.
No signs,no fees,no rules, nobody. My kind of campsite.
Unfortunately have family commitment after the Symposium. Disappointed, but counting the sleeps to our ice-out rendezvous on Chicamoula!
OK Ted we hope to see you tomorrow.
It sure was great a day at Valens on Saturday. Heather and I lollygagged and didn't get there until the afternoon. 76Highboy was there and all setup with his new sleep system. After some much appreciated catching up, we reluctantly let him know that we were day tripping. The day before I had a molar extracted and had a very rough evening. The day was too beautiful to waste though so we setup our hammocks and Heather and I hiked the perimeter of the park. Classic Canadian spring led to constant adjusting of clothing layers. It was warm enough to spot some butterflies and a garter snake. When we got the bridge we had to tuck our hats away because of the howling winds. There may have even been whitecaps on that little lake. Our usual campsite was the second windiest place in the whole park lol. Managed to find a little down time in the hammocks and then more friends arrives. LMB arrived with jcksparow and jewelbug (i think those are their HF names) after their symposiuming. Great chats and food were shared. Buttertarts were introduced to these poor souls. We may have caused an addiction lol. Even though we stayed way later than expected it is always too soon as well. 57213859_10161616222865427_7585457512309063680_n.jpg
YES YOU DID!!! Thanks for the new addiction I can't easily feed. After leaving Valens we stopped at the store and we all got buttertarts to take home. Anything to Declare?!? Yes, a trunk full of buttertarts!
It's sad but I only have 2 left and internet search shows nowhere around to get them. I'm thinking I might have to open a buttertart factory over here!
