    Paracord 550 is, in my opinion, too bulky for this application, but Paracord 275 is a good fit. Lightweight and not nearly as bulky. And a bit of springiness is not such a bad thing, as it tends to add an extra bit of protection to the tarp. Like 550, 275 does soak up a bit of water, but, since it is small in diameter, it dries very quickly. I think it is a good, less expensive alternative to Zing-It.

    The CRL from Dutch has served me well for a couple years now with just a minor change in tarp attachment I call it perfect.

    Another vote for 1.75 Zingit. Split 12' RL's with a diamond knot spliced-eye at the tree end and mini ucrs at the hammock end. Tried Fleaz at the tarp end and found them too fiddly.

    Can't think of a reason to change this setup. It's the last of the Zingit in my kit, but seems to be ideal for the job.
    Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....
