Just got my Airwave fab in for some future hammocks! I was lucky to nab them on the intro sale, so I got 5 colors and can't wait to get them through the thread injector.

What is your guys' take on "right side up" for this fabric? I can't tell if I'm crazy or not, but I swear I notice a difference between the two sides.

I prefer the less-pronounced side toward my body.

Did an overnight this weekend at the Fat Butt Hang in Medoc Mt with the new fabric and the forecasted low being around 66 degrees. I slept in shorts and a "wicking" style t-shirt (not cotton) and had no trouble getting situated or shifting around during the night. I didn't experience any of the "grabbing" that i did when testing in jeans and my fleece top.

My setup was just a Costco UQ and TQ and I was hanging slightly below my tarp. I could feel a breeze on my face during the night but never got cold shoulders or feet. I think it's going to be great for my summer trips.

Another thought I had was it may be ideal for the lake. I think you could get in it while being wet from swimming and not have it stick to you. And It seems to be windproof enough that you'll be able to lay in it in the shade while wet and not get chilly....we'll see.

Update #2

Took this hammock on our trip down to Driftwood Beach in Georgia. I absolutely love this material as a summer hammock. I would get in it while soaking wet from swimming in the ocean and the material would not "stick" to my skin. There were no issues with being able to slide around and adjust like I originally encountered when wearing jeans and fleece. The material was a nice combination of being breathable enough to keep me cool while allowing my backside to dry but not so breathable that I ever felt chilly.

I'm looking forward to using this hammock for the rest of the summer for any trips to the lake or rock quarries.

YUP! and unfortunately they weren't very pale after that hang....they were a nice, bright shade of RED!

Now that the weather is conducive mine has been living on the back porch. I'm in complete agreement with chknbone. Originally I found the fabric "grabby" in fleece or sweats, in shorts and a tee it's really nice. The feel is extra soft on bare legs and arms and I think a little less stretchy. I usually spend an hour or two each evening I'm home on the back porch napping or lounging after dark.

I moved the hammock into the hammock sleeping room in the house for tonight. If it works out it will probably become my nightly sleeper.

I have four yards of this fabric and have done nothing with it.. Primarily be because I fear the finish weight. If I do sew a hammock up it will be for car camping or backyard only.
