Hello from Columbus, OH!

Hey all, I've been a lurker for a while, but finally joined. I've been wanting to get out and camp more, but can't stand sleeping on the ground. So I've had the urge to try hammock camping for a while now and finally pulled the trigger for this spring/summer/fall activities. I've been ingesting as much content as I can from this forum as well as Shug, Tim, Schill Bros, etc. I snagged a SLD Trail Lair as my first hammock, and I hope to test it out in the backyard once it warms up a bit. I look forward to getting out and going to some group hangs!

Welcome to the forums! There's a small group of hangers in Ohio that get out every month, using the trip planning section. So, if you see a hang you want to join, give us a shout.

Welcome to the forum. I'm directly south of you in Ross County and work in Columbus - unit 4/10, then working in Dayton. Good group on the Ohio trip planning threads. Hoping to meet up sometime this year with them.
