Anyway, I noticed there’s over 600 users online but there doesn’t seem to be much movement on the boards. Are they just reading and researching? Are they in a members only forum? Just wondering where everyone is at.

I may not be typical, but I use the "New Posts" function and check out anything that sounds interesting.

Same here and if I had to guess half of those online users are most likely bots of various types.

+1 on the New Posts function. Other than the rare occasions when I post a trip report, I'm skimming titles to see what grabs my attention, like this one did.

Also, users may show as "online" when their Tapatalk app is open, even though it's in the background. Mine always stays logged in unless I make sure to close it or log out.

I always wondered. When I close my browser does it still say I'm online...is there some lag time of a few minutes. Or does it always say I'm online since my username/password is always saved (I haven't "logged in" for years)?

Regarding threads, I love the donating member area. I wish it was open to everyone for free to get more activity. I can talk all day about food, water filtration, gear, OT, etc.
