Plan B?
Ok folks, let's all grab a nearby pillow or loved one, hug it close, take a deep breath and depending on your style, proceed to slowly exhale or scream at the top of your lungs. Return the pillow or rattled loved one to their prior position and put on your thinking cap.
As far as I see it, there's two obvious options: relocate or reschedule.
Relocate: Options? Do a campground in Algonquin (rather not). Crown land (Niger Lake), Kawartha Highlands? Queen Elizabeth Wilderness? Chez Newdell? Somewhere else? I'd like to be able to get in a canoe. Without knowing the conditions, this might be a tricky affair. The Ontario Parks website might be able to give us a clue as to what's open this weekend.
Reschedule: Fortunately my schedule is flexible so putting the trip off by a week is certainly possible. My concern is for those of us who might have a hard time changing their schedules on such short notice.
Personally, I'd prefer to wait until ice-out and get up to Chicamoula next weekend, but I really would like to hear what you guys have to say.
Chard the sad.
