Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it out those two weekends as I am away. Hopefully there will be some more egl canoe trips throughout the season

Great! Thanks Chard! Looking forward to some peace and quiet... and meat over a fire. Fingers crossed for the ice-out!

I'm planning to solo paddle in on Friday morning, renting a boat at the access point. I did well enough with WhetNewdell's monster Grumman last fall, so here's hoping I can get back some sort of paddling form.

It's not my paddling form that causes the most angst, it's my portaging form.

I'll be in the park when you go in. I've tried looking up Chicamoula to see if/how I might cross paths. I can't find Chicamoula listed anywhere. Alternate name or coordinates? Please provide the If it's top secret perhaps you could provide the park access # so that I can figure out if I'll be anywhere close by...

I'm planning to extend this trip depending on conditions. Last year ice-out was May 10 & 'they' are calling for an even colder, later Spring this year. Regardless, optimistically thinking Tuesday or Wednesday through Sunday (subject to change) if anybody is interested.

Got the location location, thanks KeeWayKeno. It's been a long time since I had to read morse code! I've been to that lake - BEAUTIFUL spot.

Unfortunately I'll be completing a loop going in/out from Kiosk earlier that week. I don't see an easy way to participate in a meet up unless its at a coffee shop along the highway... Nice to know that we're all hoping for magnificent weather. I suddenly believe in collective will - use your inner Care Bear powers to will nice weather.

On the first or second weekend of May, as ice conditions permit, I'll be going back to visit my old haunts. It'd be an honour to have you guys come along.
That was by far my favorite trip with EGL. Long day in and out, but what a beautiful spot!
