Just read a report from Source Lake ... guy augered through 16 inches of icy slush (good!) Then hit 8 inches of clear ice (bad!). He's from up that way & figures ice-out around the 12th.

But what does he know.

Just watched a very pregnant deer walk by. Looks like she's ready to drop her fawn any moment. Hope the coyotes don't get her & stick to the beaver damning the creek right behind us.

I see you're a stones throw away from Glacier National Park. If I can get my foot on the same page I'd love to go there.
