Why is it I need to have 50 posts to make a comment in the gear giveaways? I think that's total bull.

This may help. It’s a sticky in the For Sale forum.

Thanks guys.
I actually had the same question when I first joined and had some equipment to pass along for others to enjoy. I soon discovered that it was simply a matter of jumping through the hoops like a good trained seal routine....arr, arrr, arrr. And thus, to confer power on the man. But since my posts are basically nonsensical and mostly blah, blah, blah, it was no time at all until I was hawking wares on HF. Patience, my friend.
An additional warning, be wary of becoming a "donating" member. After a year passes, you are locked out until you "donate" again. Not that I don't value being a, ah..."donating" member, but that seems a little...well, nuff said. I like HF, but sometimes I wonder about the man behind the curtain. Oh, oh, duck..."d" is on her way with the ruler to wack my hands once again
Now if you know I am going to "wack your hands" why do you keep sticking them into the fire? Duh? You enjoy the flames ???
But, I will correct you about being "locked" out after a year of being a donating member if you don't renew. What happens is that one of the benefits of being a DM is a LOT more storage for PM's. What happens is people don't keep their inbox or sent messages boxes cleaned out so when they don't renew their PM's become locked until they clean out the old messages. If they do keep their message boxes cleaned out, they don't run into the "locked out" issues at all.
