Question Separate bug net for 11ft wide hammock: Bottom entry or zipererd

Purchased one of the Dutchware Wide Netless hammocks. Looking for a bug net to add as the flying teeth are starting to make their appearance. What style do you recommend?

Hey, I also bought a net-less hammock from HG. I got the bottom entry net from them as well, but I believe it’s the one Dutch sells on his site. I used it this weekend and it is awesome! Very easy to use and best of all, no bugs! I even packed it with the hammock in one of HG’s black bags for their quilts. Anyway, I highly recommend it!

One more thing... you don’t need a ridge line to hang it if you don’t need one

I have been impressed with the Hug (half bugnet) from Arrowhead equipment. If weight/bulk are not issues, I like the bottom entry bug nets better for sure. Zippers can be a pain when reaching around in the night to unzip. Zippers can break or snag the netting, or worse the delicate UQ fabric. I don't know if it is a real concern or not but the zippers could separate if you bundle the net up in a small stuff sack.

I have had a Zippered Bug net. It was fine until I knew better. I now use the BIAS Buginator. My only regret is I wish I'd have gotten the Nano Buginator.

    Fronky style diy.
Why? Easiest full hammock net to deploy or take down. And no zippers or cords to undo for 2am pee breaks.

I've always preferred the Fronkey bugnet to a zippered bugnet. Get in to your hammock and go to sleep - no futzing with a zipper!

I also love the simplicity and ease of the Fronkey. Zips seem fussy and a hassle to me.

I'm not sure that you have much of a choice; I don't think there is a zippered bug sock available that would fit an 11' Dutch netless. It's either a bottom-entry or a tube sock. As a shorter person, I don't find the tube style practical. Bottom-entry works for me, although I prefer integrated hammocks in most cases.
