My weak spot has been (for a long, long time) convincing my wife of 47 years that sleeping out in the wild for several days in a hammock and eating rehydrated food and fish is enjoyable. She is a 'Holiday In Express' with a 'breakfast buffet' camper.
Enjoying the simple things in life -
Own less, live more.
Picking just one is too difficult so...;
*Water filtration - pumping sucks and finding the parts to DIY a gravity system in a local store has been challenging
*Dialing in pack weight - last trip close to 60lbs with too much unused crap

I had a raccoon try and snuggle up with me once or twice. Fully inside of my bottom entry bugnet. Of course that would never happen in the actual wild but over used camp sites where the trash pandas are fed regularly ... yeah it happens.

I too, have sinned. After much deliberation, I have decided that my area of stubbornness that I have yet to crack is to stop relying on boring, unhealthy food. Especially the pre-fab freeze dried meals. I need to start experimenting and practicing with other foods and cooking techniques when out camping and backpacking. I also need to stop carrying so much extra food that never gets eaten.
I've been cold any time the temp dropped below 25 or so. I bought more feathers.

Cold shoulders. I suspect my under quilt is simply not long enough, or else I need to figure out how to tie it up closer to my head. Sometimes I can get in the hammock just right, but then inevitably I'll wake up later.
