Very inspirational - thank-you for sharing. I always enjoy your campouts.
P.S. I wimped out at +25F last night and I'm just in my mid 60's. I'm impressed for your 'not too bad' at -9F. I don't get cold, but I don't like breathing cold air while I sleep. Any hints?

I know, he makes me feel a bit wimpy myself, with all my excuses for not getting out.
I don't know as much about it as Carver would, but have you tried the HHSS Over Cover, with a frost bib to help keep the condensation from breathing under control? It will help with that cold air you have to breath, at least a bit, without having something right over your face. But are there respirators that warm the breathed air?
Mr. Carver, I nominate you as the World’s Coolest Grandpa! You totally rock the winter camp, and your video skills are on point!
Thank you for sharing your adventure. Enjoy the season-

When I get up in years, I wanna be just like this guy! Well done, sir.

Thumbs up winter soldier!
Hard to believe Dachsteins are $70! I've had mine for decades and they certainly were not that much....back in the day ;-) Cool idea for a cooking shelf for winter. I wouldn't want to pack one in the summer, but it would go great on the bottom of a pulk, no problem. I prefer to cross my pulk poles, but perhaps that is more of a ski deal vs snow shoe arrangement. DIY Caldera look nice. I've become an instant coffee person when I'm out and about to save on the fiddle factor and gear.

Yessir! That made my day, and I agree with all that's been said! Well done, Carver, in all respects. I love learning by watching folks like you. Thanks for taking us along, and keep on making tracks...especially on those beautiful snowshoes!
