    Zip-on Chameleon UQP?

Dutch & team... have you ever considered a UQP that would zip onto the Chameleon, and still work with other accessories like the Sidecar and bugnets/top covers?

I have and I know there are other people now making UQP however that was a product invented by 2QZQ and I would have to get her blessings first.

Gotcha. I wasn’t sure if it was a patent issue related to the fact that others have gone the way of zip-on UQPs. Some of those older HF threads on hammock patents are real page-turners!

Just Spit balling here and in a slightly different direction ... Could you make the UQP integrated to the hammock body (kind of like a baggy 2nd layer) with either a zip at the head end or foot end that would allow insertion of the underquilt and suspension? The downside being this design doesn't allow for UQP to be left off or at home.

I think there's a version of this on kickstarter as we speak.

    Zip-on Chameleon UQP?

the 2qzq uqp is insanely easy to use...it could probably work with the accessories you mentioned. A fronkey style bugnet might get tricky, but other than that I cant forsee any major issues.

I have batted this around a bit and let's say I put a zipper on the 2QZQ UQP. I would have to put it on both sides and both halves of full zippers that add weight and the cost. And what would you have? Just more weight and cost. The 2QZQ UQP doesn't have a problem that needs solved. It cinches up great and it is a snap to install and adjust. It is one of my favorite pieces of gear and I am proud that they let me offer them on my site. So I love all the options on the Chameleon and I am proud of making a modular set up that is versatile. But sometimes less is more.

Out of curiosity, does the UQP add any "warmth" to the quilt set up? Does it keep your underside warmer when there are breezes?
