hex tarp: how to deal quickly with the doors ??

Thanks for the input. I guess what I miss now is more experience on the field.
BTW, what I find more convenient than the Tato clips with shock cord are these hooks from Gossamer Gear

They are much easier to untie.

With the Tato connectors I never untie them. They're attached to the door tie-outs with 3/32" shock cord, and can stretch either (1) to the opposite corner guy-out to close the door or (2) to the other end's 3/32" shock cord to keep the door open.

I clip my doors back with a binder clip and deploy them with a couple stakes or sticks. Or a rock.
Never been a problem. Playing with my gear is a big part of my joy out there.

... or given there's a loop in each end of the shock cord attacked the corners, a simple stick works as a toggle to hold the doors back. Don't forget to remove the sticks before putting the tarp in your stuff sack, though.

Those stay connected too, they're just a breeze to untie, as opposed to the Tato ones. You can't loose them.
