Hi everyone!
Can you give me some ideas to make an improvised toggle for my tree strap, I know I can use a stick on the field but, any risk for the strap to get frayed if the toggle is a bit corsed ?

I've been using sticks exclusively for several years on the same piece of strap. Never a problem. No fraying. Just make sure the stick is large enough not to be crushed in half.
I don't think you'd need to worry about your webbing fraying by using a stick- as the toggle should not move around and cause abrasion.
But if you're concerned about it, get these and cut to length. I believe this is what Shug uses.

A piece of solid fiberglass pole (driveway marker) cut to length is another popular choice. Scan the neighborhood for opportunities.
Yep, a stick in the field is great, should be readily available and you don't have to carry it.
That said, When I used toggles, I repurposed a tiny windchime for my toggles. Just add some cordage and hitch to the straps. It weighs maybe a few ounces total, was free and stays in place.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
They’re super cheap if you want to just buy them from Dutch, SLD,warbonnet etc..
I have recently seen people using a caribiner as the toggle with the cl in the biner. Not sure if this is a no go or not.
I have tried it and liked it better than the toggle. I’m just not a fan of the toggle. There may be some issue with the weight bearing on the hitch and not over the knot. But it has worked ok for me.
Sticks are fine, probably cause some premature wear, but it's in various parts of the strap so not a biggie.
My bigger issue with sticks is that they are sticks. Rough and hard to pull out after being loaded. Esp is they have soft bark.
Biners are heavy for the purpose but work fine. I'd argue a toggle is easier to tie however.
It's well worth the weight of toggles for that purpose.
I stopped using sticks because they would hit my tarp occasionally and I was definitely concerned about damaging the tarp. Used knots ever since.
