Hyke and Byke Hammock sleeping bags

Ok Guys, I've been looking at these Hyke and Byke hammock down sleeping bags that have holes in the end to hang your hammock through the bag.
They are designed to be bottom and top quilt in one. I like the concept, but wonder how do you sleep at an angle for that perfect flat-lay with this style of "all in one bag" ?
Has anyone tried these bags?

Not an expert here but I don't think you are going to get that angle lay very easily. Too constricted and more of a banana lay.

You're the second person to inquire about this vendor in a week. Before that, nothing. If three comments is enough to convince you to try it, then go for it. Personally, I'd look for something with a more established track record.

I looked at hyke and byke products when I was in the market to get into down sleeping bags and quilts. This was two or three years ago and they seemed ok, but when you started to compare to more traditional vendors the materials used didn't quite cut it for me. The relied more on the lower fill grades of Duck Down to meet their price point. If your interested in that style of pod system also check out Outdoor Vitals. Gotta agree with silver surfr here. Forthe weight vs price point, I’d rather mod Costco down throws and layer them. At 40oz and $150 (on sale for half price) for a 30 degree bag, I think $60 of Costco throws (properly modified) would keep me equally warn in the 34-36oz range. I’ve gone down to 40 with warm base layers under a single modified CDT that weighs 16oz, and been plenty warm.

Hello Bill,

Thank you for your message. The diagonal-lay style of sleeping in hammock is difficult to utilize while using a Hyke & Byke Crestone or Antero Bag. The bag is a mummy style that fully wraps around the user and hammock. Therefore, a straight-lay is what we recommend our customers use. We are looking into alternate designs, thanks again!
