    Drip-line disc - 3D printing

While not nearly as elegant as so many amazing DIY projects other members have shared...I am rather excited about these simple nylon 3D printed guys. They fit extremely snug, and do not want to lay over sideways. Center hole is 1.5mm, it grabs the 1.75mm Zingit perfectly. Easy enough to size-up for Amsteel. Did make them with a small slit (.20mm) to allow easy installation, this could be a weak point; leak. Will have to test for the optimal location for the slit to be positioned; maybe just tape it? Cost in NULL, weight is NULL, and never again forget to setup your drip-lines, or have them come loose in strong winds. Will report back once I give them a proper test, optimistic!

PS- Same concept, but for flat rope (hammock suspension) next!

Good idea. Now I need to pull out my printer for a few. Or find a couple of plastic disks lying around waiting for holes.

I actually just fired up my 3D printer for the first time in the few weeks. It's printing some watchmaking tools about 18" from my keyboard as I'm typing this.

    Clever idea. Nice and simple.

Ha ha- they remind me of the discs used to prevent rats from running up mooring lines and onto a ship.

Could use a rubber fender washer and cut the slit.

Look for 1 1/4" discs on the floor in Home Depot's lumber aisle.... dunno what they are really for, but that's what's on my lines
