I like the concept of the UCR and want to use it on a new Bishop bag set-up. However, I have had issues with my current set of UCR's slipping and gradually loosening through the night. While laying in the hammock, if you place you ear on the tensioned fabric you can hear the popping of the UCR as it slips fiber by fiber. This is a little nerve racking as it sounds like the fibers are breaking. Sometimes, the whole thing will give way and drop you an 1" or 3" before it grabs again. Either way not much fun. By morning I am much closer to the ground and have a couple of times been low enough that the UQ is resting on the ground.
Do you have any ideas to improve load capability of the UCR?
