Hello, everybody! Hope all is well.
I just recently ordered my first hammock and am very excited! I shifted my research into tarps now. I'm looking at buying a Warbonnet Superfly, however I'm not sure what size is suitable for me. I bought a 11' Dream Hammock Sparrow. Does that mean I'll be catching some weather if I also get an 11' tarp? Weight is ideally kept at a minimum, but I figured a secure and safe night sleep is probably a better idea than saving a few ounces. What do you guys/gals think?
I want something that can sustain winter camping, but also be feasible for the other 3 seasons. I will be doing mostly bike touring/ bike camping, so if I can keep my bike (somewhat) safe from the elements as well, that would be a huge bonus. I also won't have any trekking poles, so if I want to go porch mode or half porch mode, that is up to what is in the surrounding area.
