Just checked my email and saw the responses here!
I would certainly look at making this a standard design for Bill's Bridge Hammocks.
The first one made in an intuitive manner using photo's, measurements asked over email and
having a look at my Happy Medium Bridge which my wife uses.
Before I say much more I want to nail down a few things on the UQ and I will be giving it a good
check over since I am making another one in a 20°UQ - full length for Marcus as well. Once I get that rolling
I can let you know how it's all going to work.
    Feel free to ask questions.
    James

    Hey Everyone!

So great to see everyones interest!

Here is a better pic of the attachments (mini biner, shock cord, cord lock) James made for where the underquilt meets the pole and the tabs Bill has sewn onto the hammock:

Let me know if anyone wants any other pictures of things/views of the hammock, quilt, etc.

In that picture you can see where I needed to reinforce the connection with rolled grosgrain to make the loop tough. Each connection then utilizes shock cord to allow play without causing stress to any seams.

Yar... and because I just can't help myself...

I don't see any reason you couldn't girth hitch the shock cord to the tab on the hammock and bypass the mini-biner.

Besides playing with my gram weenie: that option would allow a longer range of adjustment if needed along the shock cord.

This is what I had in mind/have used in the past regarding the tabs for heavier connections and tarps.

Ok. Put some more thought into this. To be honest it’s been crazy busy and Marcus’s order sat for a bit while I wrapped my head around it (knew his time line). Finally my brain said enough and woke up at 4am (annoyed since my brain wouldn’t shut up) Ever had that happen? It started picturing stuff and ways to work around it etc.
Knowing what I did from the first 0°F UQ the 20° still took about the same amount of time. It’s pretty intensive in time needed to sew. There’s a cat cut to follow (on the hammock) and the width changes so the baffles need to be even as the changes occur. I suppose you could shortcut but that didn’t seem right. Also need the right differential throughout.

Enough babble. Here’s the 20° full length UQ for the Luxury Bridge by Bill.

Got my wife to model it. This hammock is generous in size!!

And made up matching Topquilts in a 20° & 0°.

Overall the UQs are pretty labor intensive. I’m going to take JB’s suggest on hooking up to the tabs by the bars. Using small biners takes up too much length. I did add line loc 3’s to allow easy adjustment however.

*i did get a better sleep the next night.

    All very awesome!
Get lost in the woods and find yourself again. A vacation,to me, is working with your hands and surviving because of the fruits of your labor. In the business world I teach;in the natural world I learn.
