I'm in the market for another hammock. I'm trying to decide if it's worth going to an 11'.
Stats: I'm short; 5'3". I'm under 150#.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Darien 10'?
I'm 5'7", 150# and 10' hammocks are perfect for me.

Definitely 10’. Zero need for the extra weight or bulk.
Get what you want
Have you slept in 11 foot hammock?
If not, how will you know if you want 11 foot hammock?
Lots of great choices...why not get both?
I'm 6' and use a 10' hammock. I wish I had a 10' tarp for backpacking. Sometimes that one less foot would have made a difference in where I hung.
I'm on the other side of the spectrum. 5' 11'' @ 170 lbs trying to downsize to a 10' hammock and shorter tarp..
Is there something about the 10' hammock that you don't like? What brand and fabric is it? Perhaps, a Hammockgear 11' winter sale hammock might make a great hangout hammock for testing..
I had a 10 foot Hennessy, and it was not as comfortable as an 11 foot netless hammock for me. I'm 5'7". How much weight or bulk would you actually be saving? To me, it wouldn't be worth the tradeoff in overall comfort, but you might like it. Try it and compare!
I want to throw width into the mix. I made a DIY hammock and although it's 11', I think it's the fact that it's wider that makes it more comfortable. I was thinking of making a 10' in the wider width fabric but wanted to get anyone's thoughts on this first. The first con I can think of is the extra floppy fabric
I drank the coolaid and went DIY 12'. It was too much for me. Since I used a knot for the gathered end instead of a CL in a channel, I was able to shorten it to 11'. I just keep a little extra fabric hanging on one end. Easy enough to shorten to 10, and have a little extra on each end.
although it weighs 14 OZ. It fits inside a walmart 5x7 tarp stuff sack. I'm 5'11" and 190lbs.

I highly recomend this style of gathered end knot. It's a little hard to untie but doesn't slip. Skip to the 1 minute mark to bypass the safety warnings...

I'm gussing you want to purchase rather than DIY. I would like to encourage a DIY first at least to experiment with.
I did mine this way but I was able to fine tune the lay by pulling the pleats forward of the knot. I pulled 4 pleats about 3" forward on one edge at one end and did the same thing for the other edge on the other end. This helped a lot with the diagonal lay. This knot makes it so easy to quicklu make the hammock you want. Then decide what Fabric and company to purchase from. Good luck and have fun!!!
