I haven't read all two pages of responses..

I was using the ThermaRest reversible pillow sack and found it too big. I never carried enough extra clothes to fill it. I recently switched to the Z-Packs reversible cuben pillow sack and so far, like it a lot.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

I bought the lg size Thermarest one, it is awesome, but way too big for me in the hammock. Then I bought the RBTR pillow kit. I used all the insulation, and while it is good length by width, I think it is too tall. If I had it to do over again, I would take a third of the pieces out of the stack.

Slept in my hammock last night without a pillow, and I have to say I think I liked it better.

I bought this on a bit of a whim, but now I won't leave home on a trip without it. Super light, inexpensive, and squishes into any spare pack space. The tether keeps it in just the right place. In my experience, it's much easier to deal with and comfy than folded clothes.

Its fine, does what its suppose to do, and compresses to the size of a tennis ball. It's not my full time home pillow...but I do like it.

I have almost the exact same pillow from MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-op) here in Canada. Great pillow, blows up in about 2-3 breaths and is ultralight. $32.95 cdn funds...you guys to the south get almost 40% off after currency exchange with cdn dollar lol....

MEC charges a flat rate of $20 cdn for shipping so the more you purchase the better. MEC is one of the premier outdoor gear supply shops in Canada and is highly recommended by most outdoor enthusiasts here in Canada.

I have tried pretty much every pillow mentioned on this thread. But this is the one I keep coming back to.

i had a down pillow that I had gotten with my UGQ order. I used it for a long time. one day, I came back to my hammock and found the shock cord tether still attached to my hammock but the pillow was GONE... it had clearly been torn off. i looked everywhere, thinking I'd find the feathery remains somewhere nearby, but I never did. Anyway. it had been annoying carrying around this extra thing, and i realized, I only use it in the winter, and i only use my down coat in the winter. So I took a note from Shugs book, pulled the arms inside and zip it up, fold it in thirds with the zipper inside... instant pillow.
i also keep my gloves in the pockets, and it all starts nice and warm for when i get out.

the only downside is if I damp it out. Sometimes you can't avoid it. sleeping on it helps dry it out, at least on the side closest to your body. but it's cold and damp at first... the last thing you want

I use a reversible stuffsac pillow from Hyperlite Mountain Gear. In the day it carries my PJs, camp clothes etc then at night I reverse it get the nice fluffy side and stick my puffy coat, underwear etc in it. So it has multiple uses and you can make it bigger/smaller with more or less clothes. Definitely recommended!
