On the ground I love the S2S, it’s thicker than most, which is great for a side sleeper like me.
In a hammock you have so many more options.
I started with a small down pillow from Loco Libre, it perfectly fills the space behind my neck.
After awhile I found I enjoyed reading in the hammock before bed and would stuff my puffy behind my back for support. Eventually that just became my pillow; I could move it around and adjust as I wanted plus I could pull a part of it over my face or head if I wanted some extra warmth.
The pillow stays at home now
My Klymit X inflatable pillow works with the bridge hammock, but my LLBean down travel pillow is used on gathered end hammocks for better support. I still haven't purchased a down puffy nor a fleece jacket to provide further feedback.
I use the Simply Light Designs Climashield pillow, and it's great. I chose it over the others because it is a bit larger (10"x14"), and still weighs less than 4oz. Also, I felt that a down pillow would be too warm for my head. The pillow is one area I prefer having synthetic insulation. Lastly, the price was right- $17 w/free shipping.

Honorable mention, which I usually only use under my knees (too bulky for me for behind my head in a GE hammock):

Now don't laugh. I use the Graham FlexAir Pillow from JRB. It came with the BMBH so I gave it a try. I didn't like it too much. It felt like those paper sheets on the doctor's examination table. I tried another air pillow I have as well as the U shaped travel pillow. Didn't really like those either.
I weighed all my pillows and the JRB pillow weighs only 1 oz! I gave it another try and have used it several times now. The feel of the pillow has softened up and is more comfortable with use. I can put in as much or as little air as needed and it fold down when deflated to fit inside a letter envelope. And its cheap.

CAn't beat freeish (gotta pay shipping). Note that I've been spammed a few times since, which is expected.
I started with the S2S but have since migrated to the Nemo Fillo Elite Ultralight. https://www.rei.com/product/129637/n...o-elite-pillow. It feels less crunchy than the Aeros to me.
