HAHA! My best advice is to get the Simply Light Designs pillow for $7 more (or cheaper if paying the normal Klymit price). I feel fine wasting $10, now knowing how superior the SLD pillow is.

I love sleeping on goose down pillow. It's incredible! I pass the night in total comfort.

I use the Klymit Pillow X along with a down pillow cover made by Goosefeet Gear. The combination is both lightweight and comfortable.

The pillow cover was a time limited Drop sale, but I believe Goosefeet gear would make more, as they take custom orders.

I've been needing to replace my cheap camping pillow as it has gone flat over the years - still works good in a hammock but too flat for me as a travel pillow. Found a travel pillow in Wal-Mart's bedding dept. 14x20 Walmart Brand, Mainstays. At the time it was ~$4 and the pillowcase for it was ~$3. It's a good size for traveling, compresses well (about the same size as the camping pillows in Wal-Mart's camping dept. just no stuff sack) and I'm sure it will be good for the Hammock.

Although, I noticed today that my local Sierra store has the Klymit Top Down Pillow for just under $17 and that seemed pretty nice. I'm tempted to pick that up as I do love feather pillows.

I used it for a week over Christmas with an aerobed while visiting my son. For me it was a good size and packed well in my duffel. So I'm positive it will pack well in my backpack.

I mentioned earlier in this thread that I would try Shug's suggestion of using a tether. I love it! My hammock has tie outs on the side that doesn't work well for me with the underquilt. So I use one of the shock cords and loop it over the ridge line and then larkshead it onto one of the pillow corners. Works very well and the pillow is within easy reach and no longer slides down to my butt when I get in/out of the hammock.

    Hammock pillow

I’ve always just bunched up my puffy and out it under my neck

Miserable on the ground, perfect in a hammock.

Plus if it’s cold there’s always a sleeve or something I can draped over my face
