Video: Rock Jock Loop in Linville Gorge

Completed the Rock Jock Loop in Linville Gorge again. This was the first time I’ve done this loop non-solo. Like so many other places in the Gorge, the miles pack a punch. Met some new friends on the trail this trip and had a blast. We had a good mix of different hammocks and gear. I continue to be impressed by the WB mini fly and like it more with every trip I take.

"Why didn’t Noah swat those two mosquitoes?"

That is a right goodie of a loop. One of my favorites in the Gorge.
No joke going down or up Pinchin.
I envy you your trip a bit.

Good stuff. Always so many positive things I hear about this place. I think I'll put it on my list. It's a good 9.5hr drive for me but doable.

Great video. Love that loop! Did it 4 times, never lost, but must admit to periods of high confusion between Conely and Pinchin every time. Last trip made it painfully clear that Linville Gorge is "No country for old men"!
I THOUGHT GETTING OLDER WOULD TAKE MUCH LONGER.

They can do it. One of the less strenuous Gorge trails. It actually has switchbacks.
