    First Hammock order, almost...

Been shopping for hammocks hard for a few weeks and Dream Hammock kept coming up strong in every review and comparison I looked at. Had looked at their website numerous times and each time the little chat window would pop up asking if I needed help.
Tonight I actually keyed in and said hello and had the pleasure of chatting with Papa Smurf himself for a few minutes. Extremely nice and helpful person he was.
Will press the buy button after payday this week, and this will be my build.
Using Papa Smurf's suggestion for a larger than average person. 6'4" 290lbs. Should get back down to 260ish after a season of hiking. I spend a couple weeks every summer walking on the AT. Will be nice to hang instead of laying on the ground or in a shelter.

I’ve heard the peak shelf is handy, so I ordered one for the head end.

For sure. Will get the peak shelf, ridge line organizer, storage pocket and gun shelf along with colored accents to go with. Should be a nice rig.

I was going to suggest you go for some form of storage, my sparrow has the peak shelf, ridgeline organizer and open top pocket and I use them all, the gear sling is also very useful. If you can afford it I would recommend that you get the net as well as the top cover, the top cover is great but does keep a lot of heat in so I use the net for warm weather and top cover for cooler weather.

You've made an excellent choice for your first hammock, amazing service and quality.

you may have over looked what I bolded but you chose an overcover only but then didn't chose an overcover fabric or color.

looks like it's going to be a nice looking hammock

Ah yes, good catch. Thanks I am wanting just a net only for now. Might need an over cover in the future but not just yet. Only trouble with so many options is ensuring you actually select what you intended.

Are you getting the Asym bugnet or the symmetrical bugnet? I'd recommend the fully symmetrical bugnet so you can lay anyway you'd like. The weight penalty is minimal unless you are a SUL backpacker counting every gram.

The Sparrow is built as an Asym hammock (left asym lay chosen in the OP). You might be thinking about the Dutchware Chameleon, which has the asymmetrical or symetrical bug net add-on.

The Sparrow has a symmetrical net/overcover option now.
