I just picked up the Texsport fleece that CVKealey referenced in his first post. $15 on Amazon so I figured why not. It just got delivered tonight so I haven't tested it yet but upon initial inspection, it looks like a winner. I can see it being used in the warm summer weather when my 30 degree Incubator would be overkill.

I never thought I would be thinking about skipping the TQ, until now.

    Friday: 90/67
    Saturday: 91/68
    Sunday: 92/66

Those LOWS are even warmer than I want it as a HIGH!!! Going to bed at 9:45pm at 83°? That 40° TQ is staying home. I think I'll try my coolmax liner which packs to the size of my fist. If I get cold at 68°, then too bad.

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat. Will be spending next week at scout camp with my son's troop and low temps are supposed to be between 65-70 degrees. I recently made a fleece TQ (mid-weight fleece inside, 1.9 oz. ripstop on the outside) with help from a friend, but I'm thinking even that will be overkill.

I'm not a big fan of heat. I start getting uncomfortable above 80*. When temps are in the 70's I opt for a loose or no UQ and no TQ. Cotton sheet would be enough for me. If I lived down south I wouldn't camp from May through Aug.
I sleep in a hammock in the basement with no UQ or TQ to escape the heat.

I have a really cheap, small fleece blanket I use nightly at home hanging in my basement. At a "cool" 66° it's pushing it sometimes. Add in humidity and the fact most of the night will be in the 70s, I passed on that idea as well. I think the liner will be enough. I'll throw on my long sleeve shirt if I need to.

I tend to take a TQ regardless (if nothing else, it'l make an epic pillow). But yeah, I wouldn't want i ton top in those temperatures.

Summer I use a 40 degree and just partial use it when I get hot. I’m usually out for a few days at a time so I don’t chance not having a quilt or something too light.

Same here, but at 95° highs and 65-70° lows, there's just no way. I tried my coolmax adapter last night in the basement and did fine at ~66°. I bought one of these probably 10 years ago and never really used it. 10oz, so not as light as I though, but packs very small.

In the summer I use a microfiber blanket/towel. I only paid $20ish for it and it works great to keep me comfortable at night. It gets down to around 85 at night here and this works perfect for me.
