    Thumbs up SLD hammock catch-all

Here's my new SLD hammock catch all. It's a sock on steroids! Mine is 10' long ( fits 11' hammocks) and is made from coyote brown Sil 1.1 for waterproof protection. I got the " winter width " and it's MASSIVE! It not only covers your hammock, it covers your UQ , AND TQ , AND pillow, AND sleep clothing, AND your teddy bear, AND, AND, AND. You'll see in the vid that I've got it on my 11' DIY hammock with my Snugpak UQ, SLD Trail Winder asym insulated UQP, overstuffed CDT TQ & 2 pillows and it's not halfway full. I can fit my massive -10° quilts set inside with the pillows, Trail Winder and clothing just fine. It also comes in gray & dark olive Sil 1.1 , black ION , mesh , standard width and in 8,9 and 10 foot lengths. The cost is only $25 and I got mine the same week I ordered it.

and here's my review of the Trail Winder if you missed it. ShortRound has a thread with a great video review here :https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...SYM-UNDERQUILT

Looking good man ! Btw if you do ever have that air wrestling match with the catch all , Jared is gonna soon offer a quilt catch all that will be all silnylon but there will be a strip of mesh end to end that will allow for any air to be evacuated with ease. He just mentioned it to me yesterday

Hey Chesapeake...nice job on the video review. Quick question regarding the trailwinder...how much does it weigh, how compactible is it, and how comfortable is it compared to a down underquilt? It appears to use the same idea as a wookiee underquilt with the asym synthetic insulation sewn in. If one already has an underquilt protector and an underquilt, would there be a compelling reason to purchase one of these insulated UQPs? Thanks in advance for your response, and thanks for posting this review.

    Thumbs up

Oh cool, I didn't know so many of us had one. So far I'm really digging it. Haven't had to air wrestle yet, but when I take it down I'm sure I will lol. On the website, in red letters it says that he's redesigned all Sil versions to include a narrow strip of noseeum down the length : https://simplylightdesigns.com/colle...catch-all-sack . Mine is Silnylon and doesn't have this "automatic venting" feature, I wonder why? I'll have to send him an email and ask. It's not a big deal so I'm not gonna send it back and make him add it or anything like that, I'm just curious. I'll post some pics on your thread of it with my -10° quilts inside to show just how much can really be stuffed in there!

If I had to guess... I'd say it's because he JUST came up with it. "Ever evolving and improving," indeed!

NM, I just saw that it's an option on page 2 and is still in the prototype phase.
